The message from today’s song is Josh Wilson’s challenge: “Wouldn’t it be something if we all learned to love like it’s Christmas more than once a year?”.
It seems that the month of December brings out the charitable side of everyone, which is a good thing, but it should be more than that. We should always do our best to help other people through financial gifts, material gifts, acts of kindness, service, quality time, etc.
Jesus once said in the Bible that “you always have the poor among you”. Even if people aren’t having financial needs, but could use some encouragement and love.
And that’s why it’s so important to love and give year-round. So this Christmas, I encourage all of us (myself included) to be charitable and to not let the Christmas spirit fade once January comes around.
